NEO Bankside, London SE1

NEO Bankside is an innovative, award-winning and iconic new residential development located next to the Tate Modern on the South Bank of the River Thames.

Set within beautifully landscaped gardens, apartments at the NEO Bankside are located in super-modern blocks and are finished to a high specification. Many have balconies with direct river views, floor-to-ceiling windows, air conditioning, under-floor heating, and spacious open-plan living areas. On-site facilities include 24-hour concierge and security services, a private leisure club, a wine cellar, secure underground parking and a business centre.

Designed by Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners, the development comprises 217 residential units in four hexagonal pavilions ranging from 12 to 24 storeys high. There is also a six-storey office block. The steel and glass pavilions fit perfectly into the Bankside landscape, while the exterior’s timber-clad panels and window frames give the building a warm, residential feel. The intelligently designed external steel bracing has removed the need for internal structural walls, and as such created highly flexible spaces inside the apartments. Winter gardens are enclosed within glazed balconies at the ends of each building, and are suspended from the main structure on a lightweight deck with large sliding screens.

“… next to the Tate Modern on the South Bank of the River Thames.”

Location

NEO Bankside is located in the South Bank area of London, right on the banks of the River Thames and adjacent to the Tate Modern.
