Montevetro, Battersea SW11
Montevetro is a unique waterside building which stands at 20 storeys high in parts, and remains one of the most popular and sought-after addresses on the river. Montevetro provides magnificent views over the river, as well as panoramic views over Chelsea and much of West London from the higher floors.
With approximately 103 apartments arranged over five connected blocks, this contemporary, stylish building combines luxury riverside living with fantastic on-site facilities. The apartments benefit from enormous floor-to-ceiling windows, private balconies or terraces, air conditioning, secure underground car parking, and a 24-hour security and concierge service. Many of the apartments also have wood floors throughout and under-floor heating. Residents also have access to a private gym and outdoor tennis court.
The iconic Montevetro building was designed by Richard Rogers and is situated on a site formerly occupied by an early 20th Century flour mill – which closed during the 1980s. Montevetro is Italian for “glass mountain”, and the building – with its west-facing side being almost completely glazed – certainly encapsulates that image. The east-facing side of the building has magnificent glass lift towers, and a more solid appearance due to its panels of terracotta cladding. The health and leisure club facilities are provided in a separate low-rise block with views towards the main building across a lawned area.
